TEMECULA, Calif., Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- US Patent 4,444,763, titled "Extraction of Avocado Oil from Avocados," details a method for efficiently extracting high-quality avocado oil with minimal chemical alteration. The process involves macerating ripe avocados into small pieces, heating them, adding an herbaceous siliceous material to aid in oil separation, and then applying pressure to extract the raw oil. The remaining pulp can undergo solvent refluxing to obtain additional crude oil. For further refinement, the extracted oil can be processed using a diatomaceous earth filter. This method aims to maximize oil yield while preserving its natural properties.
